Nigeria visa application form. Completed application form for Nigeria will be prepared within 5 business hours of order submission, and emailed to you to download, print and sign.

Original, signed United Kingdom passport/Travel document with at least 6 months of remaining validity and two blank facing pages. Please upload Passport Data Page Files with Extension JPG/PNG/JPEG/GIF and Size of file Upto 400 KB are allowed only.

Passport Photo: 2 Include a passport style photo, with a white background, taken within the last 6 months. You may also choose to upload a photo to your order for us to print. There is a surcharge associated with this service.

Letter of Invitation. A formal typed letter of invitation, which must be:

• Addressed to: “High Commission of Nigeria, 9 Northumberland Avenue, Westminster, London WC2N 5BX”, which will need to appear at the top-left of the letter;

• On letter headed paper;

• Including the full address of the company;

• Applicant’s full name;

• Applicant’s passport number;

• Applicant’s passports issue and expiry dates;

• Applicant’s date of birth;

• Signed by by a senior member of staff;

• Dated (not older than 1 month on the submission day);

• The period of stay in Nigeria;

• Stating that the company takes “full immigration responsibility”.

• Reason for the visit.

Employment Letter. A formal typed letter from employer, which must be:

• Addressed to: “High Commission of Nigeria, 9 Northumberland Avenue, Westminster, London WC2N 5BX”, which will need to appear at the top-left of the letter;

• On letter headed paper;

• Not older than 1 month on submission day;

• Including the full address of the company;

• Applicant’s full name;

• Applicant’s passport number;

• Applicant’s passports issue and expiry dates;

• Applicant’s date of birth;

• Signed by by a senior member of staff;

• Dated (not older than 1 month on the submission day);

• Stating that the company takes “full financial responsibilities”;

• Reason for the visit.

F

Self-employed applicants. If self-employed, you must provide a letter (not older than 1 month on the submission day), Addressed to: “High Commission of Nigeria, 9 Northumberland Avenue, Westminster, London WC2N 5BX”, which will need to appear at the top-left of the letter, stating the fact and the purpose of the trip to Nigeria.

Previous passports. All of your previous passports will need to be submitted. If you have lost them or for other reasons you are not able to provide them, please write a letter, which must be:

• Addressed to: “High Commission of Nigeria, 9 Northumberland Avenue, Westminster, London WC2N 5BX”, which will need to appear at the top-left of the letter;

Bank Statement. Original of the applicant’s bank statements for the past 3 months (not older than 1 week on submission day) including the balance at the time of submission, showing their name and address. The bank statement must be a minimum of £500 in credit, overdrafts are not included.

F

Hotel Reservations. Copy of confirmed hotel reservations including name of the applicant, name and address of the hotel, duration of stay.

G

Formal Typed Letter/Itinerary. A formal typed letter/itinerary stating the purpose of the visit:

• Addressed to: ““High Commission of Nigeria, 9 Northumberland Avenue, Westminster, London WC2N 5BX”, which will need to appear at the top-left of the letter.

• Applicant’s full name;

• Applicant’s date of birth;

• Signed by the applicant;

• Dated (not older than 1 month on submission day);

• The address where the applicant lives in the United Kingdom, which will need to appear at the top-right of the letter;

• The period of stay in Nigeria;

• Detailed Schedule of Stay. Please, explain every single day of your holiday, even if you have the same activities.

Self-employed applicants. Photographs: Two passport size photographs of the applicant with signature, name in CAPITAL letters and date on the back

D

Letter of Invitation. A formal typed letter of invitation from Nigeria, addressed to The Nigerian High Commission London. It must be on letter headed paper including the full address of the company. It must state that the company takes full immigration responsibilities and the reason for the visit. This must be signed and dated by a senior member of staff. Letter of invitation must be not older than 1 month on the submission date.

Previous passports. All of your previous passports will need to be submitted. If you have lost them or for other reasons you are not able to provide them, please write a letter, which must be:

• Addressed to: “High Commission of Nigeria, 9 Northumberland Avenue, Westminster, London WC2N 5BX”, which will need to appear at the top-left of the letter;

Cable Gram. An approved cable gram from the immigration office in Abuja (not older than 1 month on the submission day). A cable gram can only be used once and must be used within period stated on the cablegram.

Nigeria STR 

 

A

Application form. Once completed this must be printed out, signed and dated by applicant. (4 Copies).

B

Original, signed United Kingdom passport a minimum of 6 months validity. Must have two blank facing pages.

C

Photographs: Four recent UK passport sized photographs, taken no more than 2 weeks before submission, with applicants full name written on the back

D

Proof of Status. Original ILR card or other proof of resident status in the UK, this should be valid for a minimum of six months upon date of entry to Nigeria.

E

Proof of Address. A document certifying the address at which the applicant is residing.

F

Expatriate Quota. Certified stamped quota from Ministry of Interior in Nigeria.

G

Original professional certificates/credentials. The original documents pertaining to any professional qualifications as well as an up to date CV are required(originals to be examined and returned).

H

Old Passport. Please provide passports, if the applicant is in possession of one or more previous passports.

I

Letter of request. Letter of request from the company in Nigeria addressed to the Nigerian High Commission London, requesting the STR Visa for the applicant, this must contain the applicant’s full name and his position.

J

Offer Letter. An offer of employment from the company in Nigeria, this must contain the position offered, matching that stated on the Expatriate Quota.

K

Acceptance Letter. An acceptance letter from the applicant stating they accept the position, this must contain the position offered, matching that stated on the Expatriate Quota.

L

Contract. A full copy of the contract signed and dated by both parties this must contain the position offered, matching that stated on the Expatriate Quota.

M

Other relevant documents. Other documents you think are relevant to your application(company registration certificate etc...).
